How to Prepare this Black Bean Pizza Recipe
Choose whichever 12-inch crust is your favorite. You may choose a homemade crust or store-bought crust, a thin crust or even a gluten-free crust. Whichever pizza crust you choose, follow the package directions to prepare it properly.
In a food processor or Ninja Auto IQ, start by adding the drained and rinsed, or freshly cooked from scratch, black beans, garlic, hot sauce, and olive oil.
Now add the spices, ground cumin and cilantro.
Blend the ingredients until smooth.
Add one tablespoon of water to make the black bean mixture spreadable. Then blend some more.
Now, spread the mixture onto the crust, be sure to leave an inch at the edge of the crust.
Evenly spread the diced peppers to the top of the black bean mixture.
Add the Mexican Cheese Blend to the top of the pizza.
Then, add the scallions to the top of the cheese.
Bake this pizza until the cheese has evenly melted and the bean mixture is hot. For our crust, we were required to bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Follow your crust’s direction to cook this pizza properly.
Remove the cooked pizza from the oven, cut and serve hot. Word of caution, the cheese is hot so be careful.
Cut into 8 Slices
Add Salsa as topping to each slice before eating, not to the cooked pie. Use store-bought salsa or follow our Fresh Salsa Recipe if you want a fresher version of salsa.
Now eat it, and enjoy!
